Jason In the MTC

Jason spent only a few short weeks in the MTC before flying to Ireland. He made lots of friends for a brief moment, then, very early in the morning on April 7th, he went to the Salt Lake Airport. He called home at 7:00am and spoke to Mom and Dad for about 3 minutes. We laughed, we cried, we wished him well, then he was gone. It was a long day for Mom and Dad as we worried about Jason flying half way around the world by himself.

Fortunately, Jason made it to Dublin, Ireland and was immediately put to work. I'll post pictures of Jason in Ireland as soon as I get some. Mail from Ireland takes 3-4 weeks.

In the meantime, here are some pictures from his brief time at the MTC ... in no particular order.

Is that you, Dad? So nice to actually see a post on this blog! It's great to see some good pictures too! So, is blogger allowed for Jason? Can he still see all of our blogs when he's allowed internet time?

Very wierd things happen in the MTC... I wonder if Jason participated in any good pranks. They are very discouraged by the people in charge, but when a bunch of guys are locked up in a happy prison-like atmosphere, they come up with some pretty good ideas. One guy in my mission found a way to re-wire an electrical circuit for one of the rooms that 4 newbie missionaries were staying in, and stuck 2 vacuum cleaners under the beds, turned them on, and plugged them in to dead outlets. In the middle of the night, while everyone was asleep, he went and flipped on the breaker switch, activating those dead outlets. 4 very confused newbies woke up in their dark rooms, fell out of their bunk beds and took a few minutes to figure out what was going on. Anybody know if Jason was the subject of or creator of a good one?
